DESCRIPTION:Colors of Healing and Joy\nOpen by appointment and during the church’s service hours. \nColors of Healing and Joy is my Christmas Art Show. It’s on display at the Our Savior Lutheran Church in St. Petersburg\, FL. Let’s celebrate the season with a bright and positive message\, appreciation of the people\, and nature around us. In the midst of a global pandemic\, we all need to be reminded that there’s always hope\, and we can find beauty and joy in everyday life. \nThe exhibition contains eight framed mixed-media collages. Every piece was carefully selected to create a powerful visual message.

SUMMARY:The 2020 Vision - Focusing on 3D Art
DESCRIPTION:“Adam”\, “Eve” and “Mother and Child” mixed media collages will be on display at The 2020 Vision – Focusing on 3D Art.  \nThe 3D photography of Jim Swallow: through the lens and magic of stereoscopic photography allowing you to meet each artist in their studio. The show then features the art of all 20 nationally and internationally known artists from St Petersburg in the gallery on exhibition with the 3D show. \nTo create stereographs Jim uses two cameras synced together. The cameras are placed the same distance apart as the human eye so as to create a 3D image. After the images are printed they are viewed with antique stereographs\, many of which were made in the 19th century. By bringing the stereoscope to your eyes you are blocking out all other elements in the room and having a virtual view into the reality of the artist’s studio. Come and be a part of the amazing art scene that is uniquely St. Petersburg. \nThis show was made possible in part with an Individual Artist Grant from the St. Petersburg Arts Alliance. This show is Free and Open to the public providing a safe socially distanced opportunity to see in person a very unique viewing experience.

DESCRIPTION:Rapha G.O.A.T. \nProject G.O.A.T. which stands for Global Offensive Against Trafficking is an art-based awareness and fundraising campaign for the fight against human trafficking and sexual exploitation of children.  55 life-size goat castings were painted or otherwise embellished by mostly local artists and\, in many cases\, represented by celebrity athletes\, actors\, musicians\, and others. \nThe Gallery at Carrollwood Cultural Center is honored to be one of the exhibitors and will showcase four goats through the Fall. \nTo see the show and help us maintain social distancing\, please RSVP with Michele Stone at curator@carrollwoodcente.
